This storytime takes place in a quiet and safe environment. It includes interactive stories, songs, action-rhymes, fingerplays and sensory activities which promote literacy skills and development.

The library will be hosting a unique event catering to families with children who identify as being neurodivergent to come and experience the library prior to regular operating hours.

This program offers a group experience for parents and babies focusing on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs, and stories together.

This program will introduce infants to interactive songs, nursery rhymes, music, creative movement and musical instruments.

Meet up with fellow makers every Thursday! Bring your own projects, share ideas, and socialize. 

An Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP) Caseworker from the Oshawa office will be onsite every Friday at the Central Library to assist you, and no appointment is necessary.

Come by for a presentation by Durham Master Gardeners on preparing your garden for spring, followed by our Seed Library Launch! Stick around after the presentation to ask one of the guest gardening experts all your gardening questions.

Hear some great speakers and enjoy warm conversation and watch a Toastmasters meeting unfold. 

For newcomers in the Pickering area looking to practice conversational English, meet new people, and learn about your community. Join us for a one hour conversation circle in partnership with Community Development Council Durham.

Come and play with LEGO at the library! Let your creativity be your guide! Supplies will be provided.

Did you know that the Pickering Library hosts a sound recording booth? In this workshop, you will learn the basics of how to record audio such as your voice using the free and open source software called Audacity.

Test your knowledge by competing against each other using Kahoot! A cell phone or tablet is required to play, however, if you do not have one, Library staff will have devices to borrow for the game.
