Tamil Heritage Month Storytime! (2-8 yrs)

Celebrate Tamil Heritage Month with a storytime with local Pickering author Agalya Balamohan. She will be reading her book 'The Beauty of Me.' After the storytime, participants will engage in a fun craft! Supplies will be provided.

Presenter Biography

Agalya (uh-hull-ya) Balamohan, a proud Scarborough native, has called Pickering home for nearly a decade. As a dedicated full-time educator and mother of two, she drew inspiration from her experiences to write a heartfelt tribute to both her journey as a parent and her role in education. Her book aims to bridge the representation gap for children from diverse backgrounds, reflecting her own story and empowering young readers to see themselves in the world around them.
