Event Details

Join us from Saturday, December 20, 2025 to Thursday, January 8, 2026 as we explore this giant floor map of Canada. 

Participants will have the opportunity to take off their shoes and explore the map to learn about Indigenous communities, Indigenous language groups, residential schools, treaties, and reserves across Canada. 

Participants can join our event by guided tour with Valerie Bayers, Pickering Public Library Indigenous Relations Outreach Associate.  Valerie, who also goes by Red Eagle Woman is a member of the Bigstone Cree Nation (Treaty 8), Bear clan, and has called Pickering home since 2012.  

The following times are available for the guided tours on December 23:

  • 2 pm
  • 4 pm
