Program Description

Event Details

In honor of Seniors Month, this session will focus on gentle movement, mindfulness, and connection. This will be a gentle Hatha flow using yoga mats, with chairs available for anyone who feels more comfortable seated rather than on the floor.

Participants will be guided through soft breathing exercises and slow, mindful movements to help connect the mind and body, support mobility, and encourage a sense of calm and ease.

Please dress comfortably and bring a yoga mat, blocks, and a strap if you have them, as these props will offer extra support for stretching the hips and legs. A light sweater or extra layer is also recommended for added comfort during relaxation.

As we wind down, the class will close with a brief reflective meditation to leave participants feeling grounded and relaxed.

A little bit about Amanda, the instructor:

Amanda is a certified Hatha, Yin, and Restorative Yoga teacher, as well as a certified Reiki Practitioner and Mindfulness Coach. She has been dedicated to this work for a little over five years and enjoys supporting a wide range of groups—from young adults to seniors.

Her teaching focuses on soft, gentle movements, breathwork, and reflective meditation or mindfulness practices. She believes these are beautiful, holistic tools that can enhance daily routines and help us embody more calm, presence, and intentionality in our lives.

Amanda looks forward to meeting all students with an open heart and an open mind, creating a warm and welcoming space on the mat. She often shares the philosophy that what you bring to the mat is what you bring to life—a reminder that our practice can support us in any situation we may face.
