About the Storytellers:
Heather Whaley
Heather Whaley is a seasoned versatile musical storyteller, singer-songwriter, and animator. Her focus is on promoting oral language through literacy, professional performance storytelling, and reeling her audiences in to feel joy, togetherness, and laughter.
Kesha Christie
Kesha Christie is a renowned storyteller and founder of "Talkin' Tales," dedicated to preserving African and Caribbean traditions. Engaging diverse audiences through dynamic performances, workshops, and platforms, Kesha bridges cultural gaps, fostering connection and understanding. "Talkin' Tales" enriches communities, promoting cultural preservation, and empowerment.
Kim Michele
Kim Michele is a musical troubadour, author, storyteller, and professional harpist who combines a mixture of the arts infusing storytelling and music with the sounds of the ancient harp, creating a magical aura of ambience.
Rico Rodriguez
Rico Rodriguez is a storyteller, story writer, drag performer, and percussionist. He tells folktales, fairytales, fables, and legends from the rich and diverse LatinX cultures, and specializes in adaptations of folktales to reflect contemporary life. He tells in Spanish, English, and in Spanglish!
Sarah Abusarar
Sarah Abusarar has lived in many countries and travels worldwide telling stories that take audiences deep inside the tales and far away into magical places that she remembers from long, long ago. Her favourite stories are ones that promote social change.
