Poetry Towards Self-Discovery with Lamoí, The Wild Woman

This creative writing workshop will combine the art of poetry writing with guided meditative writing prompts to facilitate thought, and writing towards self-discovery. This session is thoughtfully created to support expansive thinking, imaginative exploration within poetic literary devices, and safe self-introspection to create works that can be shared on stage or kept as keepsakes for enrichment. 

Lamoí, The Wild Woman, is a Jamaican-born creator using the language of poetry, spirituality, and sensuality to challenge thoughts and ideals, in order to guide spiritual self-development . With a career spanning over a decade, The Wild Woman is a 2x award-winning spoken word artist, poet, author, and workshop facilitator. She is also an event producer, host, speaker, and live performance curator, currently holding positions as the Poetry Curator for The Festival of Literary Diversity (The FOLD), and is a “This Is Brampton” Curator for Flower City Slam.
