Local artist Morgan Kagesheongai will teach us how to sew pencil cases inspired by corn on the cob! All supplies are provided. Sewing experience is beneficial but not required.
Morgan Kagesheongai is an Aanishinaabe-Ojibwe from Whitefish River First Nation who lives and practices their art in the GTA. They like drawing comics and making screen prints, and sell their art at markets and conventions. When they're not doing that, they like to teach all kinds of art classes from craftmaking and painting to relief-printing and sewing. They've taught classes for over six years to a wide variety of clients in and around the GTA, including in schools, private institutions and public non-for-profits. They're teaching style is fun and energetic, just like their art, and they like to include humour in as much of both as they are able to.
