Event Details

Celebrate National Poetry Month this April by joining our kids Poetry Slam Contest! It's your chance to let your imagination soar and share your poetic creations with the world!

Contest details:

  • Entries will be divided into the following categories: grades 1-2 | 3-4 | 5-6 | 7-8. 
  • The poem must be no longer than a page. 

  • Writers are required to submit their poem by email to kids@pickeringlibrary.ca or drop off to any Pickering Public Library location by April 30. Please include your name, grade, and email address. 

    Winners of a prize draw for each category will be announced on social media in May.
