Program Description

Event Details

Learn with the TRCA’s Supervisor of Archaeology, Alistair Jolly, about the prehistory of Ontario and why we do archaeology. Alistair Jolly will discuss local archaeological sites – specifically the Sebastien Site, an 800-year-old Iroquoian site located in North Pickering – and how archaeology is approached in Ontario. Artifacts from digs across Ontario will also be on display.

The Local History Speaker Series is a quarterly event featuring a presentation from a different guest speaker on an engaging topic of local history. Come by for a one-hour in-person presentation followed by an opportunity to ask questions of knowledgeable presenters. Light refreshments provided.

Registration is required for these events.
