Visit the Pickering Public Library booth at the International Day for People of African Descent - Community Celebration and Movie Night!

Join the City of Pickering Anti-Black Racism Taskforce (PABRT), the Pickering Public Library Anti-Black Racism Working Group (ABRWG) and community partners on August 27 for the annual International Day for People of African Descent - Community Celebration. This year, the event will feature a movie night in the park. 

This free, family-friendly event is an opportunity to connect and learn about International Day for People of African Descent, while looking toward the future we aspire to create for all members of our community. Attendees can expect many community organizations showcasing local resources, food trucks, and fun activities.

Come say hello to Pickering Public Library staff and ABRWG members at the Library's booth - sign up for your library card, enjoy some activities, learn about the ABRWG and participate in the Anti-Black Racism Community Survey for your chance to win a gift card to a local business.
