Join Valerie Bayers (Red Eagle Woman) from the Bigstone Cree Nation, Northern AB (Treaty 8) as she shares knowledge on the significance and story of the heart berry (strawberry). Participants will gather and learn about the significance and medicines of strawberries, eat delicious fresh strawberries, and take a strawberry seedling plant home. Participants will be handling seedling plants and are encouraged to bring a container to take their new strawberry plant home.
