Biography
Boozhoo. Chantale Joly is Métis and First Nations of the Ojibway, originating from Penetanguishene. She is an elementary school teacher, and she works with the Métis Nation of Ontario and the IRBC. She dedicated the last 8 years working with many elders to learn and experience Indigenous dancing, music, ceremonies, drumming, art, and storytelling in order to get permission to teach these traditions to the next generation. The path to reconciliation, healing, and immersion of Indigenous culture comes from experiencing and learning these traditions together. Miigwech!
