Join us at the Pickering Public Library this November for our much-anticipated Fall Book Sale! It's the perfect opportunity to find great books at unbeatable prices, while supporting your local library. Whether you're an avid reader, looking for the perfect gift, or just love discovering hidden literary gems, we have something for everyone. From fiction to non-fiction, children's books to adult literature, and so much more—don't miss this chance to stock up for the winter!
When:
- Friday, November 15, 10 am – 8 pm
- Saturday, November 16, 10 am – 5 pm
- Sunday, November 17, 12 pm – 3 pm (or while supplies last)
Book Donations Welcome!
Help make our sale a success by donating your gently used books. Here's what you need to know:
Donation Dates:
- Donations will be accepted from Saturday, November 9 to Saturday, November 16 at the Central Library.
Where to Donate:
- Drop off your books at the designated carts located near the second-floor Auditorium or on the first floor of the Central Library.
Donation Guidelines:
- Books must be in good condition, free from:
- Mildew, mold, dust, or dirt
- Bugs or water damage
- Spine damage, excessive highlighting, or handwritten notes
- Missing pages or covers
- If your books don’t meet these guidelines, staff or volunteers will not be able to accept them. Please consider donating such materials to another non-profit organization, or recycle/dispose of items in poor condition.
Important Notes:
- All donated items become the property of Pickering Public Library and will be sold at the Book Sale.
- We do not issue tax receipts for donated books.
- Cash, debit or credit card payments accepted. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.
