Buckle up, we're going on a trip!

World traveller Joyce Perrin will tell us what it takes to prepare, pack, and budget for your summer travels. What documents should you bring? Will twenty t-shirts last you the week? How do I even choose where to go?! Joyce will provide answers to these questions and more as she sets you on the right path to becoming a world traveller yourself.

Joyce Perrin's early fascination with the 1950's "Lands and People" book series sparked a lifelong curiosity about different countries and cultures. A life change prompted her to pack up all her belongings at age 57 and to embark on a solo global journey. After 23 years of adventures she settled in Panama, where she co-founded the Panama Hospice and Respite Foundation. Finally returning to Canada at age 80, and despite several health challenges, including blindness in one eye and breast cancer, Joyce, now 89 and residing in Pickering, finds purpose in supporting fellow survivors, volunteering with health teams and encouraging people, through her book and speaking engagements, to pursue their passions, no matter their age.
