One last jump up before summer's over! We'll decorate masks in traditional African and Afrodiasporic Carnival styles and consider how the practice of mask making has been passed down from our ancestors. This hands-on creative space will allow people to connect and make art no matter their skill level or expertise.
Jamaica/Jam Bridgett (they/them) is a Black queer visual artist, writer, and facilitator who seeks to centre collective healing and community building using art. They've recently partnered with organizations like the Ifarada Centre for Excellence, Shoot for Peace, the Christian Faith Outreach Centre and JAYU Canada to facilitate communal art making workshops across the GTA.
